As a small business owner and business developer for Computer
Works Inc., I am confronted with the challenges our businesses face
in the state of Michigan.

Our current legislation discourages businesses from moving into Michigan and bringing new jobs. I'll work to create an environment that encourages businesses to operate in the state of Michigan.

Michigan businesses are heavily invested in manufacturing. I will work towards strengthening our manufacturers and secure a more diversified business structure focusing on technology and alternative energy for the future.

As we enter into a global economy and move towards advanced fields of technology, we must work to further the education of our current and future workforce.

Our colleges and universities train many of the world's finest. We must work hard to retain this talent by providing a promising future.

Health Care

Health Care Insurance has become increasingly unaffordable placing a tremendous burden on those who go without. Most often they are the young who are healthy whose premiums we depend on to offset the cost of insurance for those who are not in good health. We are now living longer and as every day passes we are becoming less able to care for our seniors. One third of all working Baby Boomers now assume the financial burden of older family members while working hard to save for their own retirement. Health Care is the single issue that transcends all other issues we face. Rising cost for the employers result in dropped coverage. A significant number of businesses pay far more in health care than the
Single Business TAX.

As a registered nurse, I know the importance of obtaining affordable health insurance, prescription drug coverage and promoting healthy lifestyles.

I will work to secure affordable health insurance
and prescription drug coverage for all the residents of Michigan and promote healthy lifestyle changes.

As a parent of three grown sons, Jean Dahm believes in the importance of investing in education and supporting our schools.

Jean Dahm believes in supporting the 2nd amendment. As a member of a military family she knows the importance of defending the 2nd amendment.
